A Word Before I Go

HopelessWhy do I feel that  my life is wasted  Like I'm searching for something  that cannot be found.  Why do I keep running  this race never ending?  Just trying to stay in front of  the last guy in line.  Why am I fighting  a battle I'm losing?  It's like I'm drowning in a  thimble full of quicksand.  Can I find some direction,  find some guidance in  this jungle of thorns that's  keeping me blind? Hopeless

Memories of BetterI remember a time past,  When once I was glad.  A time I was happy,  Not now as I am sad.     When I sat with new friends,  In a place of fresh life.  Friends of a different nature,  A place without srtife.   
Yet this was short,  And the friends had to go.  I had to leave the place,  And return to a home so-so.   
I miss those friends,  And the feel of a new place.  I wish to leave again,  And to a better day show my face. Memories of Better
